I have a rebuilt original 283 which has ZERO holes drilled in the front of the heads for bolt on gear....Any suggestions or am I wishing up the wrong tree?

I'd hafta look at it again .... it just has to fit the shallower length, so you should be able to weld a tab on the gen bracket to position the pulley to line up - the adjuster arm is an original generator one, if yours is different [there were a variety] it could easily be modified once the alt is in place and you see what's needed

| | | | | Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 1,094 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 1,094 | go look in a parts store for a bracket for use with headers. say for a 68 camaro/nova with a smallblock. It bolts on the two front bolts and mounts the alt. right where it needs to be. easy fix.
