The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area General Truck Talk Bed height

Hi all, new bolter here, looking for a quick measurement from anyone that might have a truck and a tape measure handy. I have a 53 GMC, it's sitting on an S10 frame, and I'm looking for a measurement for the height of the bed. Maybe from the bottom of the back window on the cab to the top of the front panel on the box. I have a feeling I've mounted the cab too low to put the bed at stock height and be able to clear everything, but it'd just be nice to know where it's supposed to be before I do anything permanent.

I was actually hoping to get the original stock height off a stock truck. I know I'm going to have to change from the original, but I'd like to keep the exterior of this truck as stock looking as possible, so I'm trying hard to make things fit like original where I can.
