Ok so I am flipping through 60-66 factory assembly manual and I come across a page that lists a steering pump bracket for the L6 (3894004) It's like on the last few pages. Has anyone ever seen this bracket or know where it is sold?

well if your truck is a 63 and up it will be either a 230-250 or a 292. they were made for quite a few years so check around for something newer with those engs in it wiith power str). passenger cars to). just make sure of same length waterpump so that the belts line up. you won't find to many around for that vintage as manual strg was quite predominate

i think the later model brackets work with a double fan pully. the rest of the set up is different unless you are adding on the other steering componants from a later model truck. have you ever seen these factory ones from the early 60's pretty cool.

Thanks for that tip! I will be hunting around for one of those. No I have never seen one from the early 60s, picture anyone? lol
