For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2008 Posts: 5 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: May 2008 Posts: 5 | Ive been looking around the forums and have found close to what Im looking for but not exactly. I have a 1960 panel with a 305 v6 Im looking to drop in a 305 v8 I got for painting flames on a buddys outlaw race car. The v8 is out of an 85 camareo. I found a 64 chevy stepside in a locale junk yard that has the block of a 350 in it.The mount towers look exactly the same as the ones in my truck and I couldnt find any signs that they had been moved. So my question is has anybody done this exact converion and if so did you have to move any mount locations? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
My best friend says put an automatic in it.Anyone want a new best friend?

It's your truck,do as you wish but be prepared to incur the wrath of V-6 Fix Modelman! Good luck with it. Jock 1950 Chevy Advance Design 3100 in ScotlandIn the Stovebolt GalleryMore pix on Flickr.
