Is there a trick to getting these in the metal housing thing? They seem like they are a size too big. I got them from jim carter truck parts. I had to use a lot of soap and then press them in using the actual leaf spring and U-bolts (as if I was putting them on). Maybe that is why the U-bolts are originally longer than they need to be.
