The problem is that when the hood is sitting in generally the right place for gap alignment, the back side of the hood rubs the cowl when I open it. What are your ideas for solving this problem? I hadn't even considered those bumpers. Any secret to adjusting them? Mine are there. I even put new rubber caps on them. They're pretty rusting but came out ok. I'll clean the body under them today and adjust. a bud and I messed with his 56 panel for a long time to fix the same problem and got it better with hinge positioning, but still the only way he can totally prevent it is to pull on the front of the hood as well as lifting - I think new hinges might be needed for his
