Sorry if I upset anyone,But a friend of mine put me up to this.We were talking about GM part suppliers, and he asked if I had ever heard of Barth and that the name was on my truck and he would buy lunch if I could find it.This game went on for a while before I gave up! My 51'GMC is apart now,and he walked over to the bench and picked up my cowl vent, and on the curved adjusting bracket is stamped in capital letters the word "BARTH". He thinks they were an outside supplier to GM,I don't know. I also told him that if anyone would know the guys at stovebolters would.

I found a reference to a Barth Manufacturing Company here. It relates to Bill Harley & Art Davidson working for that company while they worked on their first motorcycle in 1903.
