im getting ready to start working on my dads 55 chevy truck and heard that a lot of guys are using 73-87 truck chassis on these, does anyone know what the dimension is on the stock 55 chasiss from wheel mounting serface to mounting serface and the 73-87 truck wheel mounting serfac to mounting serface.

The front axle width for a 1963-87 1/2 ton truck is 63 13/16 inches. Hope this helps. | | |
