For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 217 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 217 | I would like to put a full pressure oil systen 253 in my 46 but I noticed on various pics that some 253s have side engine mounts at the front instead of under the H balancer. I would like this swap to be as painless as possible, not have to box or weld on the frame. Does anyone know which year was full pressure system and under balancer engine mounts or what did you do to overcome this delema?

If not drilled for the mount you can either change the front engine plate or just drill holes in the other one. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2009 Posts: 35 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Feb 2009 Posts: 35 | i have allways just laid them out and drilled them right on the motor. i could never see the point of takeing a good motor apart just to drill 2 holes. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 217 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 217 | Thanks for the replies.
