Im I wrong in thinking the are two types, HPLV & HLVP? Does one not exist? If they both do is one better than the other and what are the differences. I would guess the HVLP is one style and the other is the conventional siphon cup or siphon feed. I don't believe there is any such thing as a HPLV gun.

While we are on the subject, here is my recommendation for a value in paint guns {I paint every day} Devilbiss Finishline kit, such as found here or elsewhere. the world...I have painted for 55 years, and I have painted with most brands, and none other then Bink's, will compete....
My favorite spray gun...Devilbiss MBC model..(Pressure & siphon)
2nd. Devilbiss JGA model (Pressure & siphon)
3rd. Devilbiss instrument spotting gun...
HVLP guns were hardly ever used at GM...whenever used, it was for small, or interior parts...I purchased a Sharpe years ago, and quickly learned it was more useful as a paper weight...An important
reminder, if You do not clean a spray gun properly after each use,
