Just had to provide a stated value from an appraiser (not a problem, I have an uncle in that business). I have full coverage in mine.

Some joker hit me from behind this last summer, hard enough to fold my back bumper. Pushed me into the car ahead hard enough to crack my front bumper. Damage They carried the insurance on his car as well. Called me up and asked what I wanted, then sent a check. no problems.

I did have one of their "approved appraisers" give me a written statement. Haven't had any problems and I do update the photo for them ever couple years to put in their file....in case I have an accident. I guess you could say its MY insurance.

They even gave me the estimated labor cost even though I was doing the work myself, plus cost of parts at new cost.

I have my car and my truck insured with them. I did have full coverage on my truck until I bought my car, and it was going to be roughly $100 per month with both of them on there at full coverage. I dropped comprehensive off of my truck and it went down to $85 per month. I'm also 21 years old and I've been driving for 5 years, so I know that makes a difference. | | | | Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 226 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 226 | Hagerty has been good and JC Taylor is Ok, I still have a car or two with them.

Could you tell me what you're paying Hagardy for coverage on a AD pickup? I've got a '50 I'm about ready to put on the road.
Do they cover only if enroute to a show or a parade or is it for daily driving with a mileage limit?

Is this the only vehicle you have insured with them? Usually Ins. companies give a discounted premium price if you have other vehicles insured with them.

I have the the truck insured for 15,000 and the rate is 198.00 but, I saved 20.00 by not taking their roadside assistance as I have AAA that has 100 miles distance.
The truck is full coverage and for the bodily etc. it is at the 350,000 amount.
I think their rate is fair. It was inline with JC Taylor.
but, with Hagarty. I can tow the chris craft or the caming trailer. The '65 Sub has regular insurance thru State Farm. I have been with State Farm for over 25 years, never did me wrong.

I been with SF for at least 30 years but don't get that kind of rate. I suspect its because of the claim rates between Oregon and S.C. I have found them hard to beat. I house, trucks, cars ect with them and get at least a 15% discount because I've been with them so long. My 37 was appraised by their authorized agent and my "regular" insurance is about $275 a year. They told me I could get it cheaper but it would have limitations. It is still cheaper than J.C. Taylor who sent my check BACK because my truck is "modified". I think I may check on Hagarty. I want to continue driving it when & where and as many miles as I want to. | | | | Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 239 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 239 | I checked out and tried a number of different "classic" insurance companies, none of them to my satisfaction. I have not found one that will truly let the vehicle be used as a daily driver. Some have unlimited mileage, yet clearly state vehicle is not to be used for transportation to and from work. I currently have 4 classics just with liability on regular insurance. None are worth much in their books, less than 1K each, so total loss payoff would be nearly nothing if something happened, so no reason to pay for full coverage.

There is NO Classic insurance company that will allow a daily driver status. Hagarty will allow the trip once here or there just not daily. You will have to pay the higher fee. Just think. The more the truck is on the road the bigger the liability of an accident. Or that is how the insurance companies look at it.
good luck.
