I have a 1938 tow truck, I have put pics here.

I would love some help from any of you that can help me find info on the Manley wrecker bed, the piviot lift on the back looks to be homemade. Does anybody have pics of an orginal?

Any help at all would be great, I need to buy a book that can help me out here, but I can't find one to help with the Wrecker body.

It looks to be pretty butchered and I want to see if I can put it back to some kind of normal. Also here is a real quick question I should probably know but I don't..

where do you put brake fluid in this thing, I tried to follow it back from the pedal but can't seem to find it. also is the new DOT stuff ok to use?

You might call one of the wrecker dealers & see if they know any thing about the old Manley wrecker. There are 2 of them here in the K.C. area. If you want their numbers I can look them up. I believe there are wrecker organizations also that you might find with a search.
The brake fluid goes in the reservoir under the floor. We are working on a 36 & it is right where the wood floor goes in to the steel floor. It is back near the seat over to the left.

It is worth the cost to get the right info

Do a google search of, Manley Wrecker Crane, & Manley Tow Crane. Also check out ebay, there's a few Manley Crane items on there. That's not actually a Manley wrecker "Body" at all. There's no service body present on your truck. Just the Wrecker unit itself. Nice Truck.
