Hello again! Finally picking up the restoration of Wheezie, my 1956 Chevy 1/2 ton panel, again after a few year hiatus just driving the rig around town. I've got the original bucket seats in there now, but would really like to replace with a 60/40 type bench seat so that I can have both of my boys ride around town with me.

I know that the early 60s Suburbans had 60/40 front seats which allowed access to the rear area, would one of these work in a '56 panel? Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance for the input! smile

This months (May 2009) Classic Trucks magazine has an orange '55 half ton on the front page. The interior specs list a '91 60/40 split seat. It caught my attention because I too was thinking about an upgrade for my '59.

BTW: I think the '91 model (on an extended cab) slides forward for access to the rear seat.

Good luck

John
