A jig was built and the new front end was lazer aligned and welded in. Today we dropped the motor in and tried to align it correctly but it was a half inch off of center.. Both motor mounts are the same size those can be ruled out. We noticed there is a bolt hole in the bottom of the saddle under the motor that is perfectly centered. That leads me to believe the clip was made with an offset motor in that Camaro for some reason. Has anyone else run into this problem and how did you fix it? Thanks

Just line it up like OldSub said and go. I had to offset my gen III smallblock 3/4 inch for steering clearance. it is not a problem. my 71 corvette is offset almost a full inch. | | |
