For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 17 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 17 | Has anyone noticed a difference in the hood latch panel? I have dismantled 6 trucks and just noticed a difference in the 4 panels I have. Some are flatter than others, some have a more distinct/higher crown just behind the front mount bolts. Can anyone enlighten me on what I think I am seeing?

He had 3 hoods, 2 chevy's & 1 GMC. The GMC hood latch & nose area of the hood was very different in shape than the chevy hoods. But the back braces were the same in both chevy & GMC. Both Chevy Hoods looked Identical. As far as I know here in Canada, the AD Trucks from the 50's were only made in Oshawa, Ontario. Perhaps the Canadian made trucks were more concistant because they would have all been made on the same press? Just an observation. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 17 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 17 | | | |
