I will soon have a cleaned media blasted frame. There will undoubtedly be a small amount of residual rust. I want to use the best encapsulator possible. I hear good reports on POR15, Rust Bullet, Corroless, Rust Ender, etc. However in reading the personal accounts most people are happy with whatever they used, but it is the ONLY PRODUCT they have used. I would, therefore, like as MANY responses as I can get so that I can make an intelligent choice. Thanking everyone in Advance----Design that is.

I've used three different types....my vote goes to the POR15.

Thanks very much for your reply. This is very helpful if people will comment on what they used and how many times they used it. Thanks again....

I have used the POR 15 two times. It worked well the first time, thats why i used it again. Thats the only one ive ever used and my friend that referred it to me has used it numerous times.
Im happy with it and he's happy with it.
Im sure theres other prod's. out there that people have used and they have their reasons for liking them, but for me,its POR15.
Good Luck with whatever you use.

I used ZeroRust on my frame last fall. Did the prep work with a right angle grinder, wire cup brush on it, and a Sears sandblaster. Got the frame pretty well down to a clean, rust free surface. Spent extran time on the leaf springs, in between them and around the rivets and corners.

Brushed on the first coat of Zerorust, with a 97cent Walmart brush, and sprayed on the second coat with a HVLP gun. Overall very pleased with the results, nice sheen, almost a satin finish.

Neighbor just did his Model A frame last week with POR15, and looks good as well, I really can't see much difference myself.

Thanks Czechman that is what I wanted to hear real live tests. There has to be a best product out there and we need some way for Stovebolt to conduct the test so we don't have to go through this every time.

I sandblasted my frame last year and brushed on black ZERORUST. I love it and it looks really good. Used almost 2 quarts.

I've use Eastwood's encapsulator and it works well. I've also used loctite's encapsulator and it works just as well and at a better price.

I have used Rust Doctor on 3 vehicles with good results. It is water base and needs to be real clean from dirt or grease.Goes on easy, bush or spray.
