Hi everyone,

I am just wondering if any of you have experience with a particular transport company that you would recommend. I need to get my 51 3100 from Northern New York to Northeast Ohio. I am looking at trying to get it here sometime in late April so I want to start contacting companies now. I want to go open transport.

Any and all advice is very much appreciated.

Chris

A few years ago, I received excellent service from DAS (at an excellent price - WA to NY).

- open transport
- my insurance
- better price if they can drive your vehicle on and off the truck
- much better price if you can drop-off and pick-up at one of their many depots
- on-line quote - no hidden charges
- they have been around since 1954 (a good year)

I have used this guy a http://www.speedwaytransportation.com/index1.phpfew times

It may be hard to find a regular company as that is not that far of a transport. but, this guy would be an option.

I do have contacts with a main stream company but, try this guy first.

let me know how it works out.

As for DAS They to transport and tend to be an option as all their transport out bound is all new cars and trucks. So, being that you are a return load for them they to may offer a good price

I also used DAS to bring my Suburban from Colorado to California.
Theyre not brokers. I dropped it off at their terminal in Co.,and it stayed on their same truck till it got to their terminal in Cal.
Very good people to work with,I couldnt have driven it here any cheaper.

Check out this site: http://www.transportreviews.com/ then get quotes from the highest rated brokers. You will find that you seldom deal directly with the actual transporter. You may even be able to get some companies to match the rates of others. good luck.
