Wondering if anyone has a good source for larger blade screwdrivers? I have heard from other members of the site that they go to the hardware store and then "clearance" the ends for the desired purpose. I've been getting ready to work on a W-1 carb and would like to have a screwdriver that really fits the screws. I've looked on the Snap-On truck and didn't come up with anything different than the normal sized screwdrivers I already have.

Don't know if this is what you are looking for, never worked on a W-1 carb. I remember my Dad haveing something similar when he was working on his old boat carb.

I bought a set of flat screwdrivers for gunsmithing that have blades that fit screws a normal flat blade will misfit and wallow out. Just check out the reloading shooting sites like midway. This may be the very set I have: http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=621146

Hey Don, I've been working on several W-1 carbs over the winter and I bought a couple of blister packs of screwdrivers from Harbor Freight. One was their Pittsburgh brand and the other just the generic yellow with the black rubber handles, each pack had like twenty screwdrivers in them. a couple of min on the belt sander or grinder and you can make up a set that will fit the plugs and jets in the W-1. I just keep those special screwdrivers in a Rubbermaid box with all the carb stuff. A lot cheaper than buying special carb tools.

Hey Don, take a look at sears for cabinet maker screw drivers they are a straight screw driver no wedge shape at the tips
