I did a search for this and didn't find what I was looking for, so please excuse me if there is a post on this already. I'm looking to install shoulder seat belts into my 1955 2nd series with a large window. Even though there are seats out there with built-in seat belts I want to keep the stock bench seat and add these. Has anyone does this before, and if so do you have any recommendations? I was thinking of getting a set of belts from Classic Parts and finding a way to install the upper mount somewhere just below the back window. My only concern with this is I think that would make the upper mount too low, but I'm skeptical about how well the mount would hold up if I put it up higher between the door and rear window. Any ideas? Lastly, will the belts from Classic Parts work well or should I be looking elsewhere for parts?

Good read, thanx for the links Dan.
I'm also planning shoulder belts for our truck. I havnt had time to study if and how they will work but I'm considering using buckets and belts from a late model Astro/Saffari van or just the seats from a Crystler mini van. I like the idea of the shoulder belt hight having a user friendly adjustment. I would probobly have to fab my own cover for this part.

A local wreaker will give me a great deal and will let me gut a smashed Astro to see whats what. I'll be going there this week end I hope. If I can come up with some ideas I'll post, hope to hear of some more ideas from you guys.

It took 11 years but we got "an ol' truck",
was driven daily, now short drives only frown
