I am going to a rochester B manual choke carb so I can hook up the throttle and choke cables.. I found an intake in a local junk yard (good yard, 2nd generation and the guy hates computers).. The intake has the mount for the horn and the owner "thinks it was off a 1955 235". When I put the carburator on top, the manifold studs are about 3/8" closer together than the carburator holes. You bolters think this is a 235 manifild or a 216? By the way, I have an extra bee hive filter if anyone needs one...

I was hoping it came from there.. I'll get the number

The carburetor mounting bolts are closer together on those manifolds, in comparison to later 235 (1950-1962) and all 261 manifolds. http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/1929_57chevyparts/57cmpc0266.htm | | |
