However, i been workin it pretty hard,as i 've been sandblasting pretty much the whole truck and the compressor kicks on quite a bit. now the motor just buzzes and it trips the braeker,not much better with the belt removed.only had it for 3 months,and i got the warranty so they are fixing it,but still frustating. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 841 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 841 | you think you will get a ribbing just for buying harbor freight? you would have to get in line 'cause they sell a lot of that stuff. i have never had one but a friend of mine bought one of their pancake air comp and with a extension cord it wouldn't even kick on. my pancake did fine. he limped along with it for a while. personally i like to not get in a hurry and buy "good used", not wore out though. i likey me bargans so that's a good compromise for me. sorry to hear about the bad luck. i have seen the posts about harbor freight stuff on here that was left in rain, drug to heck and back and outlasted everything else, mabey your next one will be like that. i personally have never seen any of those tools, they are prob used a lot by the abom snowman and locke ness monster. hr | | | | | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 69 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 69 | I know it is hit or miss at HF, but I have purchased some brand name made in the USA products that have failed me. Granted, the odds of it happening with a HF tool are probably greater, but they are pretty good about letting me return stuff. I guess the key is how far away you live from a HF retail store.
I like buying loads of screwdrivers, sandpaper and other supplies there.
