Nice truck, George. I was in your position once and I did sell my '51 GMC. It was a 2 tonner though, it took three years to sell. I only listed it a few places and never went to eBay. If you are in a hurry and want to make some $$, go eBay. Make sure you set a "reserve" and make it high enough so the "nickle and dime" guys will be locked out........no time for that stuff.
In the process of selling mine I learned a few things. First, be descriptive, but keep it short and sweet. Otherwise it will sound like more trouble that it's worth.
Second, use the "easy payment plan". One hundred percent down and $0 a month! No exceptions!
Also, some people will want to look at the truck, but are not really serious. I found it to be a big waste of my time, since my truck was stored off-site. Make sure they are
serious about buying a vintage truck. This hobby is not for the faint of heart or those who live on a tight budget (like me! :o ).

'51 GMC 350 series (Model 354-24)
(16,000 GVW-26,000 GCW) 15 ft. flatbed, 104 h.p. 248, 4 spd, Eaton 1350 2 spd axle. Completely rebuilt front axle. Very little rust. New tires and tubes (8.25 x 20) all around. Good spare. New water pump, fuel pump (with vacuum pump for wipers). 12-volt conversion (re-wound generator, but retains 6-volt starter for easy starting).
Runs and drives excellent! Hauled 3 yards of 3/4 ab limestone with no problem! I have interior and exterior pics that I can e-mail if you are interested. Located in Northern California. Asking $3800/offer. Willing to deduct travel and shipping expenses from purchase price.

See what I mean? It's not perfect, but it was enough to make a sale. I broke even on my expenses over 5 years of ownership, so I'm not complaining. It was a good truck, never broke down, never overheated on me...............(Luke, this is where I'm trying to psyche him into keeping it
