KCA is the 216 engine serial number prefix in 1952.
Insert/removable rod-bearings were first used in trucks in the 1954 235/261 engines. Insert rod bearings were never used in original 216 engines.

If you think that the crankshaft can be used as is, the rod can be machined to accept inserts. The inserts are made just for those rods when they are converted. block I have found a casting #3837004 55-57 235 short block with a freshly turned crank and new pistons it has the harmonic balencer and the stock flywheel for a three speed manuel trans for $100.00 at a local machine shop the customer went to a small blk. will my head/manifolds & work on that 235

The side cover on the 216 is different from the side cover on a 1950-1953 235.
