Where can I get 1946 chevrolet 8 lug wheels. Are there any companies the make reproductions of these wheels?

That's a tough one. I haven't been able to find any 8 lug wheels for my 54. The best I came up with was some 16" late model Ford rims. You can get some hubcap clips from Brother's and utilize your OEM caps if you have them. With a rattle can paint job nobody will be the wiser.

The Ford rims must be '98 or older. Newer ones are metric and the hole pattern doesn't line up.

Will Duramax HD wheels work or am I going to have problems with the back spaceing? And will they fit over the front hubs on my 1946 chevrolet 3/4 ton truck?

I used a set of 16" rims off a K2500 Chevy from the 80's. I have 7.50x16 bias on them and they don't give me any problems front or rear. Just clears the tie rod ends. Same truck as yours. I would think if you hit a few junk yards you'ld be set.

I am thinking about useing wheels off a 1973-1987 C2500. I just need to know if I can get round chrome center caps like off a 1954 chevrolet truck.

There is a guy name Tom hat has a parts place in Miami Ok, Tom's Chevy Parts I think, and I picked up 4 8 lug split rims for my 49 3600- I got the four rims, four bias ply with tubes and tube savers for about $215 total, as well as replacement hub cap clips- some needed repair( the clips), and the rims needed sandblasting and repainting.

Tom basically has a salvage yard of art deco and advanced design chevy and gmc trucks- and even some stuff into the 60's, but mostly deco and advance design.
I thought it was a pretty good deal, he has mostly, 7.00x15 size rims, but he probably has both, best place for hard to find original parts.

If you search for redkneck trailer here you will find a link about solid tubeless rims that will fit the truck- the only mod needed is to mount the clips to mount the hubcaps-

They are probably metric, so while they might go on, the fit won't be quite right. I don't know about the back spacing or hubs.

I haven't put my caps on my wheels but they do fit in the center. Only problem is that it appears you have to modify the clips and rivet them on. Also there are four buldges where the later model caps fit over them. Those will be exposed but you'ld have to look close to notice it wasn't original.
