I have a 1956 chevy 3200. I have tried to find information on the transmission with no luck. Can anyone tell me where to look?

i'm not sure if it is a 4 speed. I have never drove it. The numbers on the side are 3743368.
It has 4 bolts holding the shift linkage on. I went to a sight that had pictures of a Muncie, saginaw and borg warner but none of these look like mine. Any help would be great.

I think the only 3-speeds used on the trucks around '60-'61 (the date of the tranny) were the Saginaws, either the heavy-duty or overdrive. If you can find the serial number stamped on the left side of the case at the rear of the side cover (may have to do some cleaning to find it), this can be verified. If the number starts with S, it is a Saginaw.
