I have 8 leaves in the back, how many should I take out to get a better ride and where?
How many can be taken out in the front by a 350/350 combo?

i have a 57 1/2 ton, and i removed 4 of the original 7 in the rear, leaving me with 3.
in the front i have a 350/350 also, but went with a 3 inch dropped front axle, but also removed 1 leaf, the shortest, and that got me another 5/8" drop. so maybe you could take 2 leafs out of the front and see how it does. not sure if i would remove more than that.
it softened the ride up considerably.

leonard | | | | | Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 70 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 70 | I have the same setup in my 51 and I thought about removing some leafs also, but I had too much trouble getting the steering linkages set up correctly on the power steering to go through that all over.
But removing a few leafs would help, the 350 weighs a little less than the old 216, and sits back farther so the front is pretty rough riding. | | |
