| | | | Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 102 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 102 | Hi, I'm restoring my 1952 Chevy and was told that I could use the original year license plate as the "official" tag, rather than a historical plate. However, I've done a bit of looking and it seems that in 1952 all vehicles used 1951 tags with a special sticker. I did get the sticker that says 1952 on it, but wasn't sure about the license plate situation. If anyone has heard anything about this please let me know.

You hafta have a matched pair.
The number cant be in use on anything else in the state.
You hafta give the DMV a buncha money and fill out all their stupid forms.
You hafta jump thru all their hoops and smile while youre doing it,,and give them more money.
Then you get to enjoy your YOM (year of manufacture) license plates. Plus pay more,extra money when you re-new your reg. every year.
Its a great system. I love it so much,,I have them on all 3 of my old trucks.
