The center mount is an obvious rebuild with the new bushings but the outer mounts are gone except for a few flakes of rust. The new teardrop bump stops have a 3/8 mounting bolt which is different than what was removed. The rebuild kit is from Classic Parts.
Do I need to fab a new bracket to mount the bump stop or do I drill a hole in the cab floor to mount the bump stop above the frame? How much clearance should there be between the fame and bump stop?

Drill holes in the cab floor to mount the stops. They should touch the frame, not tight, just touching. Their purpose is to limit the side to side sway.
