On the 235 six where if any gaskets are placed between bakelite heat insulator, carb and manifold. Is it none, one between carb and bakelite or one each between carb bakelite and bakelite manifold?

No gasket between the insulation plate and intake manifold (but I think a gasket there would cause no problems).
The insulation plate should have the side with the indentations (for vacuum?) on the top.
The gasket goes between the carburetor and insulation plate (with the cut-outs in the gasket lining up with the indentation in the insulator plate and lining also up with the (vacuum?) hole in the base of the carburetor.

If you are only going to use one do as Tim says and put it under the carb. Just make sure you have the cut-out for the vacuum holes all lined up.
