I am trying to put on new shocks and they are about 3 inches to short to get to the bottom studs. their fully extended. hate to try to knock out the shackle rods to get the frame and axle closer. the problem here is I cant get the axle and frame close enough to each other to get the bottom of the shock absorber to its bottom bolt.

The rear shocks for the 3200 and 3600 are longer than the 3100 for '55/'56 ('57-'59 the 3100 uses the same shock as the 32/3600).
The Monroe number for the rear is 37188, 83634 in a Sears number (same shock, different part number).
