The fenders on the 4400 and 6400 are wider and longer with a larger wheel opening than the half ton through ton trucks. Hope that helps.

Only the cabs will interchange.

If you're looking for replacements for either truck, there is a whole front clip listed in the freebie section of the swap meet.

I know they are wider than the 3100, not sure about longer, however here is a pic of a big-bolt front clip on my 3100. pic

I got the clip for a good price and it matches the parts I picked up for Frankentruck. The wider fenders will help cover the wider tires I plan on running.

crzyrdneck -- Be sure to check out our Tech Tips for more info on restoration (We have a lot of Big Bolt stuff in there, too).

I'm about 85 percent finished on a frame off resto of a '49 4400. I'm no expert but but a lot of the guys here are, so keep those questions coming and we'll help you get through both trucks.

And welcome to Stovebolt.com, by the way!

Regards,
John
