I checked the antifreeze and found that it is blue in color. Is this a different formulation from the standard yellow/green Prestone ethylene-glycol? Can I mix the blue with my Prestone?

The colors are getting kinda confusing!

I know if you mix standard EG with PG you get a really neat brown sludge.
My recommendations are to always flush and fill when switching brands. Too many additives lately.

When using a coolant tester it tests like regular coolant, wiper fluid does not- (I was worried when The BMW bike My wife rides(liquid cooled) had blue coolant in the tank.

Hard to be believe that the 80 year old farmer that owned it before me used BMW coolantin it. Maybe his garage convinced him it was better than the good old green stuff. My goal was to lower the freeze point below the +10 degrees that it tests at now. Am I going to screw anything up if I drain the radiator and add Prestone to get the freezing point lowered?

I have seen some water pump lubricants the same blue color, and some diesel engine cooling system additives that are also blue(stops cavitation) Maybe it is coolant from a tractor/implement manufacture? A quick google search shows that most european coolant is blue or red. which does not really help out here. I would tend to leave the coolant pure- possibly different chemical combinations effect the colors - I would probably flush and switch to prestone green, or something that is regularly available to you.
Ford, I know not the most popular here has a diesel anti-cavitation additive(I have some in my garage for my 85 ford diesel, and it tints everything blue-green, if you use to much it is blue.
