I was searching for valves on the web for my new grin 484 head (that if found to my great surprice on a 1959 235 block - 100$ together - that turned out to be a 261 grin )

I found Sealed Power valves for $5 each and Stellite Valves with chromed shafts for $14 each.

Is it worth the extra cash?

Thanks, Frank

The stellite valves run cooler. They are for heavy duty service. I wouldn,t use them unless you are putting it in a large truck & are going to do some heavy hauling.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

Hello,
The stellite valves together with hardened exhaust seats is is great if you want to run your truck on todays unleaded gas, I would use em if it were my truck...

That means for a daily driver (no heavy duty service/towing at all) without hardened seats it makes no sense to spend 3 time as much as for the standart valves?

It may see some driving on the german Autobahn but I have an overdrive so I keep under 2500 RPM.

Thanks, Frank
