It was just folded back out of the way not welded to anything just there. What was its purpose? What was its final position once the bed was installed. Here is the photo of what it looks like. http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2579758880103315458dketFV | | | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 2,031 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 2,031 | it's not used as a bolt hole because it is NOT accessed from the outside of the pocket, so you can not tighten it at all. i believe the hole is for a tool to bend the tab where you wish it as a steady guide for your post. the smaller 1/4'' hole at the bottom, running front to back is used to place a thru bolt to actually hold your post in place.
