I bought an MY6 on ebay, and it was sold as needing a rebuild. I missed that part when I bid, but that's my fault, not the seller's. I pulled the cover off, and can find nothing broken, but there is a lot of wear. As I move the gears around, I can get 4th gear, but that's all. From what I can see, this unit appears to be very simple. With 3 months of winter ahead of us, this is something I would like to try to rebuild myself. Where can I find a manual that would apply to this specific trans? I assume a Mopar 833 manual would be the same as a GM MY6 manual. I have found Chilton and Haynes manuals on the web, but my experience is that those are good for some things, but not for others. Also, where would I buy replacement parts, particularly sychronizers? Thanks in advance for advice, and if this isn't nearly as simple as it appears, please set me straight.
