It is the preferred way. Hook the wire from the button to the B term. on the relay. Hook a hot lead to the B term. Hook the wire from the horn to the H term. Ground the other term on the horn & make sure the relay is grounded. If you are running 6 volts you will need a 6 volt relay. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Is your horn also a '46 version...probably. If it has two terminals on it, one will have to be grounded permanently while the other will now get power through your new relay.
