I just acquired this basket case, and want to put disc brakes on it while I have it torn apart. The guy who sold it to me gave me a set of front spindles off an Impala and said they will fit, but the truck has some really nice 6-lug Centerlines and great rubber, so I am not eager to replace them just to go to 5-lug in order to use these Impala spindles. I am thinking I should be able to possibly use the spindles and rotors off a newer GM truck, and I found a couple GMCs (an '87 and an '88) in the local U-Pull-It yard that have 6-lug front disc setups on them, but I'm not sure how to tell if they will fit. Anyone have any advice? Also, what else will I need off the donor truck, if this will work?
