I am feeling a little intimidated about the Babbitt bearings. Is it difficult to do in your backyard shop? Or is it best to leave to the experts? | | |

Gotta be worth a call to see what they are doing and what they recommend. Even if you don't use em their parts may be worth looking at--high pressure oil pump and spin on oil filter.

You can have yours' machined or make a core swap. Don't know if they're still available, but you could order new from a local parts store.
