I was told it was off of a 235 engine. But it is coming up as a 1957 V8 generator. It didn't come with the brackets so I can't see if it will fit or not. I believe this is what I need for a bracket.

But I don't want to spend the $35 with shipping if it's not going to line up. Does anyone know if this bracket will fit an inline 6? Or should I try to get my money back?

That one should fit but seems pretty high. You should be able to find a used one. Measure the distance between your mounting ears. There is 2 different lenghts of generators. Put a post in the swap meet under parts wanted. I bet some of the fellow Stovebolters have one laying around.
