Steve-Maine,

Just an observation: Seems you're being harsh in writing I asked two other questions on radios with no answers. It looks like your three similar, but incomplete, questions about radios have each elicited one answer, with no followup response/question from you.

You can trust that people on this discussion board are not bashful in responding with personal-experience answers and also opinions and advice.

Good thing KCMongo posted his questions - your clarifications to these questions (in the same thread) might elicit a few responses.

There is also the The Radio Bench forum in the The Electrical Bay in this site's discussion boards, but that forum is a little hidden from general view.

So you have a 1970 C-10 and your looking for a good AM-FM radio. The American Classic Radio is a Model RA328 for around $160.
That radio is made by Custom Autosound I've never been overly impressed with their stuff, felt kinda cheap to me, and they don't look very factory. It kinda depends on what your going for with your truck.
Factory looks or more modern performance, or both.

The Options as I see them...

Option one: Factory AM/FM Radio, here's one that's pretty pricey, but nice.

Option two: Factory AM Radio for looks with a modern radio hidden in the glove box, under the dash or behind the seat, there are a lot of nice radio's out there that have remote options. Here's a few good deals on some factory AM's..

Option Three: Good working factory AM with an AM transmitter hooked to a modern radio feeding it or and MP3 player stashed somewhere. I've know a couple guy's with older (47-53 trucks) that went this route and like it.

Option Four: The Custom Autosound radio, which I'm sure will sound good if your good with the looks. I'd recommmend finding someplace that sells them local or somebody that already has one so you can look at one in person before taking the plunge.
