Well the hard core coms on a trailer. But as long it got fenders, lights and a closed engine compartment you can get a special "historic" license plate and have special ruls at the TUV. grin

here are some more wild pics: http://www.thesavoy.de/html/20022.html

Jeeeezzzzzz Stovebold, I lived in Germany for 7 1/2 years, 83-90, Pirmasens and Mainz and NEVER ran across anything like this. Where were they hiding all that time? Did find me a super Frau though and she is now into the oldies.

Hi Frank

We have a 32 roadster with a Scot blowen Ardun....strictly old school

It'll be finished next summer.....Wife says 'Lets take it to Europe'
I says no fenders....no driven....Thanks for the quick back-up

In So Cal we can do almost anything and drive it

I know people that keep cars in the states and fly in just to drive em

If you look at Markt or Motor Classic June (or so) 2002 you'll see I like to drive

Bruce in the 80es and early 90es was a period without internent and ebay. The Dollar was high, parts where rare and expensive, Offenhauser was only a german name and a Stovebolt.... well yust that wink

You had to be a rich man (or his son) to drive such a car over here in those days.

Jim, what the hell are you doing with a german railroad station in Poland? wink

I`m glad you folks like the pictures, and yes Sir, we love to do it the traditional way. There are only 3 classes

up to 400 cci
more than 400 cci
mototrcicles

here are the rules:
1. bring what you have
2. driver must be sober and wear a helmet
3. have fun

I always been asked if the pictures on my website (www.TheSavoy.de) are vintage.

No! They are from the last view years and show our small 30es and 40es comunity at different events. the vintage look comes out of my Photoshop.

This is not a hobby for us like for some reenactors. It is a way of living.
We look that way every day. Clothing, hairstyle, music, homes/furniture and - of course - cars.

The station we are buying is in western Poland
We are a few hours from Berlin
It was built in 1908

Please take no offence but I can't even think what a mess it is to restore a building in Germany.
There are so many offices and laws
Honestly I am suprised that you can [censored] and poop in the same pot.....LAWS LAWS LAWS and more and more PsydoGreens

And the guys that do the building restoration are all Polish
so Why no stay in Poland where we don't need 'The mark of God'

I have been in and out and driving old timers in Germany since
1984

Life is much easier in Poland for me.

Yeah! I know what you are talking about.
Even if you own land, that does not mean you can do what you want on it.

Burocracy f...s up everything over here and poeple are verry upset in these days.

Well after all let`s not get to deep in politics and keep this Stovebolt related ... ;-)

At least they let us use this old WWII Luftwaffe airfield in Finsterwalde to do our races.

Thanks for understanding what I ment Frank

Your right it's too political but atleast we are discussing this late at night or early morning for Stateside Bolters

If Tony wants to he can erase it before everyone wakes up

I like it here in the small towns and country living a simple life
The station is several Km down an old stone road away from everything and built to last hundreds of years
