Hello, Will a cylinder head off of a later model 235 work on a 1951 babbit bearing 235 engine? Thanks.

I know that the head gaskets are different and so that answer has to be no. Is this a small side cover 235 ?

1953 is the only year that splash and full pressure 235 heads interchange.

The two heads have different number and position of head bolts. 51 has 15 bolts, like a 216. 53 and later has 18.
