I have a 261, with a fenton dual intake, speedway headers, mallory dual point, and a shaved (.040") 848. I have my original 235 rottenchester b, the 261 b, and a pair of b carbs with heat riser chokes. My question is: should I run a combination of the rochesters, and which? Or should I buy some carter webers? I think I'm leaning towards the C/W's, because of the progressive secondaries, and the greater tuning ability. Are they worth it?
If I were running a single I would ude The C/w for sure, but the dual set-up makes me unsure, because of the extra hassle with linkage, air filters, tuning, etc.

The two best things I've done to my truck are install a T5 and dual Carter/Webers. They work beautyfully and no more leaking rochesters.

The only way to go IMHO

I'm leaning that way. I already have the t-5. Thanks for the input!

You might want to give Tom Langdon (Stovebolt Engineering Co.) a call and verify if you should use the Holley/Webers as opposed to the Carter/Webers. I've been running the C/W's a couple years in my 235 and can testify that they are worth every penny. Langdon's linkage kit is simple, durable and the whole setup is set and forget. Combine them with a T5 with the proper gearing and you're going to love driving your truck.
