I got a 1964 K10. It needs a power steering upgrade. If this was a C10 no trouble getting a kit. With the 4X4 I can't find a kit. Do I really need a kit? 4X4 power steering was not an option until 69 Any suggestions would be much appr. thanks | | | | Joined: Aug 2008 Posts: 72 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2008 Posts: 72 | Hey kase, I have a 1965 K10 with the power steering already installed in it. I will try to get you some part #'s off it sometime tomorrow. As a matter of fact, I also have the old power steering pump (just put in a new chrome one) if you want it. I am on the Grave shift, so I won't be able to get you the info till later tomorrow evening. By the way, what part of Oregon are ya from? I'm over in eastern OR. Till tomorrow! | | | | Joined: Oct 2008 Posts: 5 New Guy | New Guy Joined: Oct 2008 Posts: 5 | Thanks for the reply. I live in Troutdale just east of Portland. If you could give me some part numbers that would be great and your old power steering pump would be awesome. How much do you want for it? By the way I looked at the link to your truck pictures. NICE!!! Thats what I want to built over the next few years. | | | | Joined: Aug 2008 Posts: 72 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2008 Posts: 72 | kase, the only number I found on the power steering unit that looks like a part # is "5686815". I grabbed a couple pictures of it and will post a link to them much later tonight. Made sure that I still have the pump unit, and got a couple shots of it also. If you could PM me your number and a best time to call, I will try to get a hold of you tomorrow. Had a meeting to go to today, and am really needing some shuteye. Sorry for the short response, but sleep beckons. | | | | Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 112 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 112 | was the power steering on dons k10 stock?
