It's all there, Steele rubber, Jim Carter, Brothers, Classic parts of America, LMC, Grumpy's and others have your parts. The nicest thing I did was solid windows, no sliders. See my 56GMC (click on the blue signature below). If you are staying totally stock you may not want this. But they are "easy" to do and don't leak. I did mine myself: rubber $100, glass $350. 2008 prices. Rebuilding the sliders is a whole lot of work, done that also and the frames are most always rusted and need repair. Solid windows = no frames needed. Bartamos.

I thought it would be real cool if you could hingr them the newer minivans and or expiditions. Do you have AC? I was wondering about it getting too hot for the youngins', your thoughts please. I'll check out those sites in the mean time. Your GMC is very simila too my chevy burb. I too have a 454 and a newer running gear. My plan is to do a rat rod job on it with the little distinct custom stuff down to the flat paint job. I'm thinking of doing a very light aqua and white combo fromHot Rod Flatz paints. But so are leaks and rot-out. Rubber kits are more $ too for sliders. How long/bad is a Nebraska summer? 9mo at 105-115 deg is what we have. If your kids are real young you maybe want sliders or tip out. Good luck and let us know with pics what you do.
