I went to the FLAPS in town and bought Borg Warner part number 14701. After about 10 minutes in the shop, everything works like a new one. LOTS,LOTS, cheaper than replacing the carb.
$7.00 vs $234.00 I'm not good with numbers, but even I can understand the new math in this instance.

What part is that. We can save a lot of money fixing things ourselvs instead of buying new. It also gives a certain amount of pride.

I had went to take the truck for a spin one fine Sunday afternoon, and I noticed the fuel line going into the top of the carb body, where the fuel filter fits, leaking. I grabbed the wrench to tighten it up, and as you can imagine, barely into this task, I stripped the threads in the carb body. The repalcement part is longer and has self tapping threads that saved me nearly $225.00 One of the easiest repairs I've had in a long time. | | |
