Ended up with the best of the 6 trucks at the auction . A 1947 2 ton Chevy flat bed . The truck is complete and the body exterior is good . The cab interior and the flat bed is trashed but the lower cab corners are perfict condition . After a good looking this truck is going to be a runner not a parts truck . All for $260 . Got the salvage yards owners card and he is only about 45 min. away from me . Will have to get down his way and see what all he has . The Dodge 5 window almost went to a scrapper that was there - but at the last second a guy that had just gotten to the auction walked up and got it . Boy he was happy he got there when he did . Also ran into a guy that collects only 1953 era trucks/vans . He bought the best of the pick ups ( a '53) and his current project is a '53 COE . Nice guy but not into computers so he will not be joining us here - a shame . ED H
