I have a T-5 from an '89 s-10. It has an elec. speedo sender. I want to use an elec. speedo from a motorcycle with it anyone done this yet? how about calibration? Any hints?

The trans should be a 4 pulse/rev unit. I believe the motorcycle speedos used a front wheel tone wheel, or a final drive tone wheel. You would be better off with either an aftermarket gauge, or moving to the electronic to mechanical box.

One is cable x to convert the electronic sending unit to an analogue speedometer. The bad news is the price. I have reseen in my motorcycle catalogs a couple of products which purport to calibrate electric speedos. Dakota digital makes one. Btw, the Harley speedo sensor counts the trans gear teeth. Aftermarket senders are available that drive at the wheels, or to convert cable drives to elect.

These guys still sell and support them . http://www.zepco.com/ As far as that goes, we probably have some laying around.
