Hey all,
Got the 12 bolt truck rear mounted under my project, and noticed that the u-joint did not turn when I turned the wheel and tire... Pulled the inspection cover, only to find that the spider gears are gone from the center pin?!?!?!
The rear came from a 77 full time 4x4 that had a blown engine, but why would some one go thru the trouble of pullin the two spider gears, and anyone know of a cheap place to get a pair of spider gears?
Thanks, Garry K

I'd get your money back on that donor truck, its ending up to be a lot less than they told you it was.

Actually it has already paid for it's self, as I have made more off selling parts than I paid for it, so the rear was Free, and so were the brand-new 235x75x15 Wildcat RVT's on white-spokes. And I still have a few pieces left to sell. THe hulk is cut up and wil go to the scrap yard this week, and I will look to see if the scrap yard has a 12-bolt that maybe I can snag the spider gears from. I am also looking at finding a limited slip unit, then I can just replace the center, and the lost spiders will not be an issue.
Thanks again, I just can't understand why someone would pull just the spiders???
