I'm pulling my steering column from my '59 chevy for a rebuild and can't figure out how to remove the signal harness that plugs into the main wiring harness and then runs inside the steering column and is then connected to the signal housing. The plug on the harness side won't thread through. I'm really hoping I don't have to disassemble the signal housing in order to thread individual turn signal wires through. That looks like a bigger job than pulling the column. I'm thinking I could pull the wires from the plug one at a time and then put the plug back on the wires when I reinstall it? That way I don't disturbe the canceling cams etc. What's worked for you guys?
